How to play Mini Crossword
These compact crossword puzzles use word-square layouts: every row and column forms an answer, and crossings can share an answer. Read the Across and Down clues and use the crossing letters to fill the grid. The collection has eight original three-by-three or four-by-four boards. A daily selection and free-play button let you revisit or switch boards; this is a small curated set, not an unlimited supply of new clues.
Choose your difficulty

Controls
Tap a cell and type a letter. Tap the same cell again to switch direction. Arrow keys move, Tab switches clues and Backspace clears. Check marks incorrect letters; Reveal letter fills the selected cell.

Solve the clue you are most confident about first. Its crossing letters may make an uncertain word easier to recognize.
