How to play Word Search
Find the listed words hidden among the letters. Select a straight line from the first letter to the last; words can overlap. Choose from four themes and generate another puzzle when you finish. The daily button uses the date to select a repeatable board for the current theme and difficulty. Every listed word is placed into the grid by the generator.
Choose your difficulty
| Level | What changes |
|---|---|
| Easy | 10 × 10 grid with 8 words, running forward horizontally or vertically. |
| Medium | 12 × 12 grid with 12 words; diagonal placements add another direction to scan. |
| Hard | 15 × 15 grid with 16 words, using all eight directions including backwards. |
Controls
Drag along a word or tap its first and last letters. Keyboard users can move with the arrow keys and choose endpoints with Enter or Space. Escape cancels a selection. Hint highlights a word to help you continue.
A tip for your first round
Scan for the least common letter in a word, then look along the allowed directions. Mark completed words so you can focus on what remains.
