XCOM 2 Cheat Codes: PC campaign console
XCOM 2’s PC developer console is enabled with the -allowconsole launch argument. Commands depend on context: a tactical mission command is not necessarily available aboard the Avenger. Use a separate non-Ironman save before experimenting.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. XCOM 2 is not available to play on Gamehub.
Setup and activation
- Create an untouched campaign save.
- Add -allowconsole to the game’s launch options and restart it.
- Load the appropriate campaign scene, then open the console with tilde, apostrophe or backslash depending on keyboard layout.
- Enter one command and press Enter; check the result before saving.

Version notes and help
Match the command to the scene
A supply grant belongs to the strategic campaign; action-point experiments belong to tactical combat. If a valid command is ignored, first check that context instead of assuming the console failed. War of the Chosen and mods can introduce additional differences.
Ironman is a poor test environment
A single continually updated save leaves little room to undo a campaign experiment. Preserve an independent backup and test in a separate campaign. Resource grants and skipped constraints can change later research or mission choices even if the immediate result looks harmless.
Common questions
Why does the console not open?
Check that -allowconsole was applied to the executable actually launched. The working key also depends on the keyboard layout.
Does enabling the console activate every cheat?
No. Opening the console only exposes command input. Enter the specific command and use the strategic or tactical scene it expects.
