Wolfenstein 3D Cheat Codes: PC DOS v1.1 and later debug mode
Wolfenstein 3D has a debug mode rather than Doom-style typed words. For the later DOS executable, launch with -goobers, activate debugging inside a level, then use Tab combinations. Early v1.0 uses different activation keys.

Version notes and help
Why LIM may not work
Pressing L, I and M together is a widely documented equipment and health shortcut, but later registered builds do not all retain it. It also resets score. A version label alone may not distinguish these builds, so this guide prioritizes the explicit debug setup.
Do not mix Wolfenstein versions
DOS v1.0 uses -next and a different activation combination. Spear of Destiny, Macintosh releases and modern source ports have their own details. Check the executable you actually launched before troubleshooting a correctly entered key combination.
Common questions
Do I type Tab + G as text?
No. Hold the Tab key and press G after debugging has been enabled.
Can I use -goobers from DOSBox?
It is an argument to the game executable, not a DOSBox setting. Add it when launching the game inside the DOS environment.
