The Sims 2 cheat codes and PC commands
The Sims 2 uses Ctrl+Shift+C for cheat entry. Its basic money commands work differently from the familyFunds feature added with later content, so this table starts with household grants and the familiar object-placement toggle.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. The Sims 2 is not available to play on Gamehub.
Setup and activation
- Load a lot with the household active.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+C.
- Type one command below and submit with Enter.
- Inspect the result and save into a different slot or backup arrangement.

Version notes and help
Expansion differences
Some online lists combine every Sims 2 expansion and therefore show commands that a base-game installation lacks. Check the expansion requirement before editing family funds, aspiration or business settings. This selection avoids relying on a specific expansion for its core money examples.
Use testing mode deliberately
The testing switch is boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true, not the wording used by newer Sims games. It exposes debugging interactions intended for testing; dismissing or forcing errors without understanding them can damage a household. Free placement can also make a furnished room unusable, so test movement between doors and furniture after decorating.
Common questions
Do I need to download a trainer?
No. This page describes the game’s own facilities. It does not require an external executable, a paid cheat subscription or changes to an online account.
How should I test these changes?
Keep a separate unmodified save, make one change at a time and check the result before continuing. Reversing a toggle does not necessarily reverse everything that happened while it was active.
