Subnautica cheat codes and PC commands
The original Subnautica has a developer console. On current Living Large-era PC builds, hold Shift and press Enter or the backquote key to open its input. This is a different game and activation method from Subnautica 2.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. Subnautica is not available to play on Gamehub.
Setup and activation
- Make a separate save before using console commands.
- While playing, hold Shift and press Enter or backquote.
- Enter a command below and submit it.
- Check the effect; keep the original save for achievement-focused play.

Version notes and help
Building has other requirements
Removing material costs does not mean every location is a valid building site. Structural placement, available space and the tool being used still matter. If the builder refuses a piece, check its orientation and surroundings instead of repeatedly entering a resource code.
Achievements and version differences
Console use disables achievements according to the game’s command documentation. Preserve an untouched save rather than assuming a second toggle reverses that consequence. Older guides describe F3 and a disable-console checkbox; those steps are not the current Living Large input described here.
Avoid unnecessary story skips
Unlocking every blueprint or teleporting past a story location can bypass the progression you intended to experience. Start with a small material grant or a daylight adjustment. A resource test is easier to understand and undo through a clean reload than a large series of story-state changes.
Common questions
Do I need to download a trainer?
No. This page describes the game’s own facilities. It does not require an external executable, a paid cheat subscription or changes to an online account.
How should I test these changes?
Keep a separate unmodified save, make one change at a time and check the result before continuing. Reversing a toggle does not necessarily reverse everything that happened while it was active.
