Stronghold cheat codes and how to use them
Firefly documents three core cheat shortcuts for the original Stronghold and HD release. Enable them at the main menu with Shift+Alt+A. Free building, money and mission access are separate shortcuts, so choose the one that matches your solo experiment.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. Stronghold is not available to play on Gamehub.
Setup and activation
- Return to the main menu.
- Press Shift+Alt+A together.
- Load a single-player mission or the campaign selection.
- Use the relevant Alt shortcut and inspect the result.

Version notes and help
Use the developer’s short list
Some internet lists mix unrelated character-level commands and contradictory effects into Stronghold guides. This table sticks to the three shortcuts Firefly publishes. A shorter verified list is more useful than promising a debug feature that belongs to a different game or build.
Free construction versus a balanced castle
Removing building costs makes layout testing easier, but it also hides the cost of your design. Keep an ordinary save and return to it to check whether the same castle can support itself with normal wood, stone and gold requirements.
Check the game title
Stronghold Crusader uses a different main-menu activation phrase. Stronghold Definitive Edition is also a separate release. These original/HD instructions should not be silently transferred to another edition merely because its logo contains Stronghold.
Undo by returning to clean progress
Store experimental maps separately. Mission unlock access and a cash boost can change what you can immediately do, so record your starting mission and treasury before testing.
