Stardew Valley item IDs: what works and version limits
Stardew Valley item IDs are identifiers, not universal keyboard cheats. In 1.6, qualified IDs include a type prefix such as (O) for objects. Item-name tricks and debug access depend on the platform, version and method being used.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. Stardew Valley is not available to play on Gamehub.
Setup and activation
- Check your installed version before following an item-spawn procedure.
- Back up the farm save outside the active save folder.
- Use the source reference to distinguish item IDs from executable commands.
- Test any documented method in a disposable farm before changing the farm you keep.
Version notes and help
An ID is not an activation sequence
An iridium bar’s object identifier is not something you can simply type during normal farm play to receive a bar. Older bracketed-name exploits rely on dialogue and naming behaviour. They are not equivalent to a supported item menu, and console releases may reject or patch the behaviour.
Debug commands and ordinary play
The wiki’s console-command documentation distinguishes SMAPI commands from game debug functions. Do not paste SMAPI examples into ordinary chat and expect them to work. This page intentionally supplies no universal spawn code because the setup is essential to the result; use the version-matched reference rather than downloading a trainer.
A normal way to obtain iridium bars
An iridium bar can be smelted from five iridium ore and one coal in a furnace. This gives you a reliable fallback when a naming trick is unavailable. The resource process remains part of the game rather than depending on whether a particular dialogue trigger interprets brackets.
Common questions
Do I need to download a trainer?
No. This page describes the game’s own facilities. It does not require an external executable, a paid cheat subscription or changes to an online account.
How should I test these changes?
Keep a separate unmodified save, make one change at a time and check the result before continuing. Reversing a toggle does not necessarily reverse everything that happened while it was active.
