How to play Sliding Puzzle
Slide neighboring numbered tiles into the empty space. Arrange all tiles from smallest to largest, reading left to right and top to bottom, with the gap in the bottom-right corner. New boards are shuffled using legal moves from the solved position, so a route back always exists. Bigger boards contain more tiles to put in order.
Choose your difficulty
| Level | What changes |
|---|---|
| Easy | 3 × 3 board with 8 numbered tiles. |
| Medium | 4 × 4 board with 15 numbered tiles. |
| Hard | 5 × 5 board with 24 numbered tiles. |
Controls
Click or tap a tile next to the gap to slide it. Use Undo to reverse your last move. Hint marks a nearby tile using its distance from the target arrangement; it is a suggestion rather than a complete solution.
A tip for your first round
Work on the upper row first, then the next row. Keep solved sections together while you rearrange the remaining tiles.

Sliding Puzzle questions
Is every sliding puzzle solvable?
Yes. Each board is produced by making legal moves from a completed board.
Where should the empty space finish?
At the bottom right, after all numbers are in order.
Does Hint solve the whole puzzle?
No. It suggests a neighboring move by comparing tile distances. You still choose and plan the solving route.
