SimCity 4 cheat codes and how to use them
SimCity 4 uses Ctrl+X for its built-in cheat-entry box. Weaknesspays adds 1,000 simoleons; other commands unlock rewards or display information. Extra-cheat DLLs and installed mod menus are separate from the normal commands listed here.

Version notes and help
Built-in versus extra cheats
A guide that asks for a DLL or an extra-cheat plugin is describing an installed modification. Its added commands should not be advertised as guaranteed stock features. This page deliberately lists only the normal keyboard-entry context.
Use cash to test a plan
A small grant can let you compare an expansion without waiting for income. Record the old balance and keep the original save. If the city remains unprofitable after a grant, the underlying budget still needs attention.
Rewards do not place themselves
The reward unlock changes availability; it does not choose locations or redesign the city. Open the relevant menu after entering the phrase, and avoid filling the experimental city with every reward if your goal is diagnosing one missing option.
An information command is not a speed fix
FPS helps observe performance. Displaying the figure does not itself improve simulation speed or resolve a slow region. Use it to compare the same view rather than treating the command as a performance booster.
Common questions
How much does weaknesspays add?
The built-in grant is 1,000 simoleons per use.
Does every console command on the internet work unmodified?
No. Some lists include commands requiring extra-cheat mods.
