Rise of Nations cheat codes and how to use them
Rise of Nations accepts offline cheat commands through the Enter prompt. Some are typed commands; Alt-key shortcuts first require cheat keys on. Keep these two entry styles separate so that a shortcut does not appear broken simply because it was never enabled.

Version notes and help
Targeted commands need care
Selection-based commands can affect more than the object you intended if several units or structures are highlighted. Click away, select the precise target and check the selection before issuing a destructive instruction. Keep a clean save because removing your own structures is not a harmless test.
Resource testing
Alt+F5 can be held, so it is easy to add much more than one grant. Tap it once and inspect the economy before continuing. If your aim is practicing an opening, return to the unassisted save afterward.
Offline scope and campaign results
The wiki documents these as offline cheats. It also notes a Cheater rank in Conquer the World after cheat use. Keep experimental progress separate from a campaign whose end result you want to preserve.
Common questions
Why does Alt+F5 do nothing?
Submit cheat keys on in the Enter prompt first.
Can I hide the map again?
Use cheat reveal off; do not confuse that with reloading an entirely unmodified game state.
