Red Dead Redemption 2 cheat codes and PC commands
Red Dead Redemption 2 uses phrases entered through Settings → Cheats. Activating a cheat disables saving and achievement progress for that session, so finish important story progress and make a normal save before opening the menu.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. Red Dead Redemption 2 is not available to play on Gamehub.
Setup and activation
- Create a manual save while cheats are off.
- Pause, open Settings and select the displayed Cheats prompt.
- Use Enter Cheat and type a phrase below.
- Unlock the entry, then activate it in the cheats list.

Newspaper requirements
Some other phrases require a particular newspaper purchased after a story milestone. Merely knowing those words is insufficient. The examples above avoid that additional newspaper requirement, making them a simpler starting point for an experimental free-roam session.
Return to a saving session
A cheat session is a temporary sandbox, not a method of building a permanently wealthy story save. Switching an entry off should not be treated as a guarantee that saving and achievements are restored; reload your pre-cheat save. These phrases belong to story mode, not Red Dead Online.
Common questions
Do I need to download a trainer?
No. This page describes the game’s own facilities. It does not require an external executable, a paid cheat subscription or changes to an online account.
How should I test these changes?
Keep a separate unmodified save, make one change at a time and check the result before continuing. Reversing a toggle does not necessarily reverse everything that happened while it was active.
