Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is not available to play on Gamehub.
Setup and activation
- Create a manual save separate from your continuing campaign.
- Press the PC console key, usually ~ or the physical key left of 1.
- Type one command and submit with Enter.
- Close the console, inspect the result and reload your untouched save if needed.

Version notes and help
Local fog versus map markers
Revealing the local map and adding world-map markers are different effects. The tfow example changes local-map fog; it is not a completed-exploration or quest-award command. Use the narrow effect you need rather than combining every command from a general cheat list.
Keyboard and targeting
On a non-US keyboard, the console may open with a different label on the key left of 1. Bethesda also documents conflicts with some older infrared input devices. Once the console opens, avoid clicking random actors or scenery before using a toggle: selected-object commands and player commands are not interchangeable.
Common questions
Do I need to download a trainer?
No. This page describes the game’s own facilities. It does not require an external executable, a paid cheat subscription or changes to an online account.
How should I test these changes?
Keep a separate unmodified save, make one change at a time and check the result before continuing. Reversing a toggle does not necessarily reverse everything that happened while it was active.
