Left 4 Dead 2 Cheat Codes: PC local single-player practice
Left 4 Dead 2’s console can supply health, ammunition and weapons for local practice. Start your own single-player map through the console; public matchmaking servers do not give you control over sv_cheats.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. Left 4 Dead 2 is not available to play on Gamehub.
Setup and activation
- Enable Allow Developer Console in Options, Keyboard/Mouse.
- From the menu, open the console and enter map c1m1_hotel to start a local Dead Center map.
- After the map loads, enter sv_cheats 1.
- Enter a command, then close the console and test it.
Codes and effects

Version notes and help
A local laboratory
Use the session to learn a route, compare a weapon or practice an encounter with bots. These commands are not instructions for gaining an advantage in public matches. Commands that require host control are rejected when you do not own the session.
Undo changes explicitly
Set sv_infinite_ammo back to 0 and god to 0 when finished. Restart a clean normal game for achievement attempts. If you use noclip, return inside the playable map before switching it off; a camera position outside geometry is not a safe survivor position.
Common questions
Why does sv_cheats refuse to change?
You may be on a server you do not control. Start the local console map rather than joining an official matchmaking server.
Can stopping the Director remove every enemy?
No. Existing infected and map-scripted encounters are separate from ordinary Director spawning.
