Fate of Atlantis Walkthrough: Sophia, Tikal and the Lost Dialogue

Spoilers ahead. The scope of this walkthrough is stated below. This is an independent text guide. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis is not available to play on Gamehub.

Walkthrough steps

  1. After the college introduction, travel to New York and take the newspaper. Reach the theatre backstage, distract the stagehand with the paper and operate the stage controls to interrupt the performance.
  2. Speak with Sophia, then visit Heimdall in Iceland to learn the other investigation leads.
  3. At Tikal, use the whip to drive the jungle animal toward the snake, then cross using the tree.
  4. Speak to Sternhart. When he asks about Plato’s dialogue, admit you do not know, ask the parrot for the title, then give Sternhart the learned answer.
  5. Inside the temple ask Sophia to occupy Sternhart. Take and open the kerosene lamp outside, use its contents on the spiral fitting, then use the freed fitting on the animal head and pull it.
  6. After Sternhart takes the disk, collect the remaining bead. Return to Iceland and use it in the frozen eel’s mouth, then take the eel.
  7. In the Azores, let Sophia initiate the conversation with Costa. Trade the eel for information about the collection containing the lost dialogue.
  8. Return to the college and follow the collection clue. The book’s hiding place varies; resolve the actual cabinet, chest or statue obstacle in your game before choosing the Team, Wits or Fists route.

Version notes and help

Why a later walkthrough does not match

The three routes are intentionally different. This guide ends at the route choice and cannot substitute a Fists combat solution for a Wits puzzle or a Team interaction. Keep a save before choosing if you want to explore alternatives.

The college search is variable

Do not assume the same hidden-book location on every playthrough. Inspect your named collection clue and nearby objects. A guide showing a different container is not evidence that your save is broken.

Common questions

What is the bead for at the start?

Use it with the eel’s mouth in Iceland after retrieving it in Tikal.

Does this cover all three routes?

No. It follows the shared opening to the point where those routes branch.
