GTA III cheat codes and PC commands
GTA III’s PC cheat words work during normal gameplay. GESUNDHEIT restores health and GUNSGUNSGUNS supplies weapons. Keep this original-release reference separate from lists for the Definitive Edition or controller versions.

Version notes and help
Armour spelling depends on patch
TORTOISE is the familiar patched-PC spelling. Early unpatched copies are documented with TURTOISE instead. If health codes work but armour does not, confirm your game’s patch before concluding that all cheats are unavailable.
What a code does not do
A weapon grant is not a mission skip. You still need to follow the objective and survive vehicle or time-limit requirements. Save before experimenting with world behaviour codes, especially pedestrian changes; this page keeps the focus on simple character resources to reduce accidental changes to your playthrough.
Common questions
Do I need to download a trainer?
No. This page describes the game’s own facilities. It does not require an external executable, a paid cheat subscription or changes to an online account.
How should I test these changes?
Keep a separate unmodified save, make one change at a time and check the result before continuing. Reversing a toggle does not necessarily reverse everything that happened while it was active.
