Grim Fandango Walkthrough: Work Order and Mail-Tube Puzzle
To leave the opening office, recruit Glottis and get the work order signed through Don Copal’s automatic reply. The next bottleneck uses two separate packing chemicals in balloons to disrupt the message system. This is an early Year One guide.

Walkthrough steps
- Read Manny’s message and go down to the garage. Speak to Glottis in his hut and persuade him to become your driver; receive the work order.
- Ask Eva to sign the work order. After the refusal, leave the building and enter the alley with the rope made of ties.
- Climb the ties and enter Copal’s office through the window. Change his computer’s automatic reply so that Eva is authorized to sign for him.
- Return to Eva, obtain the signature and bring the approved order back to Glottis. Complete the trip and use Manny’s scythe on the client’s package.
- At the festival, ask the clown for two uninflated worm balloons. Keep the two containers separate.
- In the packing room fill one balloon from each chemical hose. Send both filled balloons down Manny’s office message tube to trigger the mail-room problem.
- When investigating the maintenance room, use its door lock to keep the door from closing fully. Return after the worker leaves and use a punched playing card on the red tube.

Why the signature is still refused
Possessing the form is not enough: the computer response must specifically delegate signing to Eva. Revisit Copal’s office through the alley if the conversation continues to produce a refusal.
The two chemicals are separate inventory items
The puzzle depends on sending both packing materials into the tube system. Filling two balloons from the same hose is not the intended setup. Review each inventory item before using the office tube.

Remastered changes presentation and control options, while the work-order and tube logic remains recognizable. This walkthrough stops at the early client-lead sequence, before the resistance, forest and Rubacava chapters. Save at that boundary instead of expecting a full Year One checklist here.
