Why the familiar commands may fail
Far Cry 2’s frequently copied GameProfile cheat switches have inconsistent reports. A command documented for a modified executable is not automatically available in the standard retail game. Repeating an ignored god-mode string does not prove that the game is accepting it.
Patched consoles are a separate case
The Jackal patch’s own documentation lists an extended developer console and explicitly added cheat variables. Those belong to that patch. This page does not ask you to install it or label its commands as built-in vanilla cheats.
Check performance before blaming difficulty
PCGamingWiki documents high-frame-rate problems that can affect NPC behavior. If a mission appears stuck, distinguish a technical issue from an unusually difficult fight. Lowering visual settings and using a sensible frame cap is a different intervention from altering health or weapon behavior.

Does -DEVMODE from Far Cry work here?
Do not transfer the first game’s hotkey setup. The two games require separate instructions.
