Doom Cheat Codes: Original PC / DOS
The original Doom accepts codes typed directly during a level. Use iddqd for damage protection and idkfa for the full equipment package. The original wall-walking code is idspispopd; Doom II uses a different spelling.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. Doom is not available to play on Gamehub.

- Enter a single-player level on a difficulty below Nightmare.

Version notes and help
Choose the right executable
This reference covers the classic PC game, including the familiar DOS version. Modern source ports can add their own console commands. A command accepted by a source port is not proof that the original executable supports it.
Warp deliberately
The two digits after idclev represent episode and mission. A warp starts a destination rather than walking through its preceding maps. Keep the pre-warp save if you want to resume the equipment and progress of your existing run.
Common questions
Why does idclip fail?
That spelling belongs to the original Doom II executable. Use idspispopd for original Doom.
Do these work on Nightmare?
Most normal cheats are blocked there. Use a lower difficulty for a cheat-enabled exploration session.
