Cities: Skylines unlimited money and built-in options

The original Cities: Skylines includes an Unlimited Money option among its built-in mods. Enable it through Content Manager rather than typing a money string. Unlock All is a separate option for removing progression gates.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. Cities: Skylines is not available to play on Gamehub.

Setup and activation

  1. Keep a copy of the city save you want to preserve.
  2. Return to the main menu and open Content Manager.
  3. Open Mods and enable the bundled Unlimited Money option.
  4. Load a test city and confirm the economy behaves as expected.

Version notes and help

Bundled mods need no trainer

The original game labels these features as mods, but the bundled Unlimited Money option does not require a third-party executable. Do not confuse it with Cities: Skylines II’s Map Options screen. This page describes the original title’s interface.

Money is not traffic management

Removing budget pressure lets you experiment with roads, transit and services. It does not prevent congestion, remove access requirements or guarantee that a service reaches the buildings it serves. Check road connections and service coverage when a wealthy city still fails to function.

Keep achievements and experiments separate

Mod-enabled cities can affect achievement eligibility. Preserve an ordinary city save if you want to compare normal budget play with a sandbox build. Unlocking buildings also changes the progression experience, so enable the smallest combination of options that fits the city you want to design.

Common questions

Do I need to download a trainer?

No. This page describes the game’s own facilities. It does not require an external executable, a paid cheat subscription or changes to an online account.

How should I test these changes?

Keep a separate unmodified save, make one change at a time and check the result before continuing. Reversing a toggle does not necessarily reverse everything that happened while it was active.
