Cities: Skylines II unlimited money: Map Options guide
Cities: Skylines II includes Unlimited Money in Map Options. Paradox explicitly recommends this option for an existing city struggling with economy changes. It is a built-in sandbox facility rather than a text cheat that needs a console.

Use cheats only in a single-player game or an authorized private session. Keep an untouched save before changing a game state. This is an independent text guide. Cities: Skylines II is not available to play on Gamehub.
Setup and activation
- Preserve an ordinary save of the city first.
- Open the city’s Map Options, or review map settings when starting a new city.
- Enable Unlimited Money for the sandbox city.
- Load or resume the city and inspect services and traffic independently of the budget.
Version notes and help
An existing city can use the option
This feature is not restricted to a new city: Paradox’s save-game checklist describes enabling it in a save’s Map Options. That makes it useful for exploring a large city after an economy update without immediately rebuilding its entire budget.
Infrastructure still needs attention
A positive or unlimited budget does not create missing road connections, supply chains or transport routes. The economy update also changed service upkeep and tile costs. Check the actual warning on a building instead of assuming every service problem is fixed by removing the money limit.
Preserve an ordinary comparison
Use a separate city save for unrestricted experiments, and review the game’s achievement warning when activating sandbox options. This page avoids a developer-mode launch flag because the standard Map Options feature already solves the money-limit problem with fewer moving parts and no third-party download.
Common questions
Do I need to download a trainer?
No. This page describes the game’s own facilities. It does not require an external executable, a paid cheat subscription or changes to an online account.
How should I test these changes?
Keep a separate unmodified save, make one change at a time and check the result before continuing. Reversing a toggle does not necessarily reverse everything that happened while it was active.
